LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A Lee County deputy attacked and stabbed is now out of the hospital.

Investigators say Corporal Racquel Shott was responding to a disturbance call Monday morning at a home on Arianne Court. She was stabbed in the leg and cut on her hand.

“No one wants to hear it on the radio. Dispatchers, they don’t want to sit and listen to it. It is just one of those things that sends chills up your spines. It’s something that we all know can happen, but we don’t want to hear it,” said Lt. Jeff Dektas.

Lee County deputies have one person in custody related to the attack.
