LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Lee County deputies are investigating a shooting on Fairfax Drive near Palm Beach Boulevard.

According to deputies, one person was shot and taken to Lee Memorial hospital, another was grazed by a bullet.

Neighbors tell WINK News they heard numerous gunshots.

“We were sitting and all of the sudden we just heard like a full clip just going off, like pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, we heard five shots and then quiet for like 30 seconds and then paw, paw, paw, five more came out,” said Chance Bradley.

“We saw somebody coming through the backyard and as soon as he saw us he stopped and was like, woah, hey, he was kind of nervous about it,” said Bradley.

WINK News also spoke exclusively to one of the victims who was grazed by a bullet. That victim says at least 13 shots were fired and says one of those bullets grazed his back.

Michael Mitchell was inside his house right next door when he heard the gunshots.

“Where we were, we just see people running down the road and then he came booking through our backyard,” he said.

Deputies tell WINK News they do not believe the public is in any danger and can’t say if they have any suspects or anyone in custody.
