Lee County man faces charges of sexual assault

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A man is under arrest, facing charges of sexual assault.

Investigators identified 35-year-old Juan Ramirez as a suspect.

On Tuesday, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received information of a sex crime involving a juvenile.

According to investigators, a caretaker for a juvenile female disclosed that the juvenile had complained of pain in her genital area. Upon questioning, the juvenile stated that a 35-year-old male had committed a series of sex acts against her.

Detectives stated that over the past two years, Ramirez committed a series of sex acts on the juvenile, to include oral sex.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest Ramirez for one count of sexual assault to a victim less than 12 years of age. Ramirez was also charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
