NAPLES, Fla.- Two people were on a boat pushing a barge that started sinking off the coast near Wiggins Beach.

Right now the barge is near Clam Pass. The Coast Guard says it is not leaking fuel or polluting the water.

The 38 by 65 feet barge started sinking around noon Wednesday.

The harbormaster with the City of Naples tells WINK News he does not know what job they were on, but says it is perfectly legal for them to be on the Gulf.

The sinking of the barge is currently under investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard.
