PUNTA GORDA, Fla.- Deputies are trying to identify a man who was caught on a video surveillance camera in February walking up to the camera before it was deactivated and taken from a local business.

On February 10, at about 11:22 p.m., a man wearing along sleeved shirt and long pants walked up to a video camera mounted on a post at Pineapple Storage, located at 25477 Marion Avenue.

As soon as the man approached the camera, it went black. Evidence left behind indicates the camera was ripped off the post and removed.

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the man is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101 (ask for District 3), or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
