NAPLES, Fla. -Thieves are targeting nurses working at assisted living facilities.

CNA’s are getting taken by surprise after walking out of work.

“I don’t know who would do that,” said Nidia Jean who is a CNA at Glenview. Her car window was smashed in January. The thieves taking everything from inside the cars.

It’s happened at two different living centers, Glenview in Pelican Bay and Harbor Chase in North Naples. Each time numerous cars were hit. Some of the items stolen are iPads, purses and tax returns.

Deputies believe CNA’s are being targeted. They think someone has been watching, noticing many nurses are inside for hours and leave personal items in their car.

If you work as a CNA, be aware. If you know anything about these crimes, call the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
