ID needed in credit card theft

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Detectives are attempting to identify a man who used a stolen credit card at a local gas station in February.

According to police, someone broke into two vehicles in Sarasota County on Sunday, February 8 and took several credit cards. One of those credit cards was used at the RaceTrac station located at 1520 El Jobean Road in Port Charlotte later that same date.

Earlier this week detectives were able to view the security video at the RaceTrac and obtain two images of the person suspected of using the stolen credit card.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man shown in the photos is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at 941-639-2101 and ask for Economic Crimes, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
