West Side Story comes to Southwest Florida

Published: Updated:

FORT MYERS, Fla. – It’s a story about love and murder. A modern day Romeo and Juliet.

Now, you get the chance to see it up close here in Southwest Florida.

“West Side Story,” the musical portraying a rivalry between two teenage street gangs, is now playing at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre.

While the musical came out more than 50 years ago, the cast says the message audiences are left with is still relevant today.

“We hope that they don’t take away not only a timeless love story, but also a life lesson from this that hopefully love can conquer some of the more bitter things that can stand in it’s way,” said Adam Kaster, who plays Tony in the production.

You can catch the musical now through April 5.
