Tampa Bay Rays participate in ‘Cut for a Cure’

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- The Tampa Bay Rays took on the Minnesota Twins in their second game of spring training on Friday.

Some of the Rays’ players, coaches and staff had a new look for the afternoon game, but it’s all for a good cause.

The pros participated in the Pedriatic Cancer Foundation’s “Cut for a Cure” at Charlotte Sports Park to help some special kids.

“Our fans for the Tampa Bay Rays can go to pcfcutforacure.org and donate and help them raise their goal of $15,000,” said Executive Director Nancy Crane.

Crane says the goal is to raise $350,000 to fund a clinical trial.

“It’s our sixth year and the Tampa Bay Rays are incredible community partners. They care about our kids and our families,” said Crane.
