NAPLES, Fla. (AP) – The Florida Highway Patrol has reopened Alligator Alley to motorists.

The road, also known as Interstate 75, was closed early Friday due to severe fog between mile marker 101 near Naples to mile marker 23 in Broward County.

The fog lifted and the road was reopened in both directions shortly before 9 a.m.

But troopers say conditions can change quickly, so it is important to drive with caution.
