Kick off spring training with the Tampa Bay Rays

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Spring baseball is back in Charlotte County, as the Tampa Bay Rays take on the Baltimore Orioles, Thursday at 1:05 p.m.

The Rays play 14 spring season games at the Charlotte Sports Park through March 31st. Most of the games have a special theme or promotion to help elevate the fan experience, as they come off winning best spring training venue in all of Major League Baseball in 2014.

For opening day, members of the SOCOM Para Commandos will parachute in. Delivering the game ball to the pitcher as the Rays celebrate military appreciation day. The first 5,000 fans will also receive free military appreciation day t-shirt.
