TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Florida’s middle- and high-school students can continue taking a standardized test following serious technological problems that forced some school districts to briefly suspend online testing. Education commissioner Pam Stewart told district superintendents via email Tuesday morning email the service has been restored and testing may resume. She said the online portal that students must use for the test was slow or didn’t let them log in at all. Stewart says the department worked with the company that provides the testing late into Monday night to correct the problems. The company reported that 67,745 of the 69,177 tests that were started Monday were successfully completed. Stewart says the company will continue to monitor the system as testing continues.
