Celebrate two years of brewing

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Fort Myers Brewing Company is celebrating a big milestone this Saturday as they turn 2 years old.

As Lee County’s first microbrewery, Fort Myers Brewing opened their doors on March 2, 2013 with a 1,500 square foot brewery and tasting room. Today, they’ve grown to 7,500 square feet and plan to go even further, reaching 12,000 square feet within the next couple of years.

To celebrate, they’re inviting you to join them for some fun. Beer taste and even a run with 30 different beers on tap, live music by the Troublemakerz and five food trucks including: The Nosh Truck, Organically Twisted, Gold Coast Kitchen and Mofos, and Burgerque.

Fort Myers Brewing will also celebrate their 6th beer mile event, where runners will partake in a mile long run and have to drink four beers, one for every quarter mile they run.

The celebration begins at noon on Saturday, with beer mile registration starting at 5 p.m.

Registration is $30, there is no cost for those not running and just attending the event.

Fort Myers Brewing Company is located at 12811 Commerce Lakes Dr. Suite 28, just off of Daniels Parkway, East of JetBlue Park.
