FORT MYERS, Fla.- A daytime burglary has neighbors on high alert. It happened Friday on McKinley Avenue near Winkler Road. The homeowner tells WINK News he got a call saying the alarm had gone off at his home. When he arrived, he opened the door and found his home ransacked. He called police and found out the thieves stole his firearms. “They took a lot of personal stuff, but they also took some of my weapons,” said Samuel Johnson. Johnson says he also found a hatchet on his kitchen counter.
