COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- A victim is reliving the horror of a scary stabbing attack that happened over the weekend. Michael Bentley tells WINK News that he was trying to break up a fight when he got knifed in the back.

It happened at the Tram, an ATV and campsite on 10th Street Southeast in Golden Gate Estates.

“Basically kids out drinking and things got a little crazy, fight broke out, a few of us stepped in and tried to break it up” said Bentley.

Bentley was stabbed in his left shoulder. He was then med-flighted to Lee Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

“I didn’t even know I was stabbed, just thought I dislocated my shoulder.” He said,  “then we were trying to get my shoulder back in and that’s when we found blood and I was transported out.”

Shortly after the violent attack, a video was posted online. It shows one person covered in blood and blood also covering the ground.

Deputies said two other people were also stabbed.

Bentley said he doesn’t know who his attacker is but thinks it was a girl. “No, I don’t think anyone plans on it, best thing to do is look at the positive side of it.”

The weekend attack happened early Sunday morning at the Tram. “It’s a place we can call home, take out trucks out, play on our buggies, our 4 wheelers, families and be away from town for a day.”

Despite what happened, Bentley doesn’t want this to ruin a tradition many families have enjoyed since the 1970s. “We have a love for the land, we don’t want to lose that.”

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
