Suspect on the run after early morning robbery

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying and tracking down a man who robbed a 7-11 convenience store early Wednesday morning.

According to witnesses, a white male, in his 20s, came into the store, located at 4520 Bonita Beach Road, around 4:15 a.m.

The suspect implied that he had a gun in his pocket and demanded all the cash in the drawers.  While the clerk was gathering up the money, the suspect reached over the counter and grabbed several $25 scratch off lottery tickets.

After receiving the money, the suspect then asked for Newport cigarettes.

He fled the store heading towards the area of Imperial Shores Boulevard and Gary Road.

During the commission of the crime, the suspect used either a white handkerchief or t-shirt to cover his face and wore a black hoodie.

He is described as roughly 6 feet tall and, according to witnesses, he had big eyes.
