Red Sox equipment truck arrives in Southwest Florida

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Around 7 a.m. this morning, the Red Sox equipment truck rolled into Southwest Florida to gear up for spring training.

WINK News was at JetBlue Park as the 53 foot truck rolled in. Crews spent hours unloading everything the team needs for spring training.

Some items on the truck include more than 20,000 baseballs, 1100 bats, and 60 cases of sunflower seeds.

Some players are already in town, while pitchers and catchers report on Friday. The rest of the team will be here next week.

The first Red Sox spring training game is March 3.
