The Florida Gulf Coast women’s basketball team is ranked in the top 25 of a major national poll for the first time in program history. The Eagles have won 18 straight games and with a 23-2 record are up to 22nd in the Associated Press Poll released on Monday. FGCU is currently ranked 16th by the computer based RPI. The Eagles have won 21 of their last 22 games and are a perfect 10-0 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. FGCU plays at Kennesaw State on Thursday night and at USC Upstate on Saturday afternoon before finishing the regular season with games at North Florida and home against Jacksonville State.
