FGCU vs. Central Michigan The Florida Gulf Coast baseball team entered Sunday’s final game of a four-game set against Central Michigan trailing 1-2 in the series. In the bottom of the fifth inning, FGCU was trailing 3-1. Brian Pruett got something going for the Eagles after lacing a stand-up double to the left-field wall to lead off the frame. After a sacrifice bunt, it was one out and a runner on third for Jake Noll. The Charlotte grad hit a sharp line-drive. It was caught, but it was enough to score the runner from third as FGCU narrows the gap to 3-2. The Eagles would have some chances late in the game, but couldn’t seem to capitallize. FGCU loses 5-2. Central Michigan takes the series 3-1.
