Nearly $23,000 has been raised for the GoFundMe campaign, “Stop Illegal Dog Fighting.” The campaign first started when WINK News brought you the story of Sunset, the dog believed to be used as a bait dog for dog fights in Lehigh Acres. Veterinarian tell WINK News, Sunset’s next hurdle will be visiting a specialist to repair some broken teeth. They say one tooth is split down to her jaw. Vets say Sunset is improving every day but they are still worried about her foot and are watching for proper healing. The fund against dog fighting continues to grow each day, with an anonymous donor giving $10,000 last night. If you’d like to donate to the cause, click here. All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers and up to $5,000 from the organizers of the GoFundMe account.
