NAPLES, Fla. – A new business is buzzing into Southwest Florida.

It’s called Beach Bugz.  They’re golf carts for rent that are street legal. The company was founded recently by local entrepreneurs. They say business is already booming.

“It’s really a better way to experience Naples and Marco Island, said founder, Adam Benigni.

“You park them in parking spots and you can go anywhere to the beach, restaurants, hotels.”

Benigni and his partners started the company about five months ago and already the city is buzzing with interest.

“Its gone great so far and we’re seeing a lot of reservations in the last couple of weeks,” said Benigni.

Beach Bugz go about 25mph.  You can drive them on any street where the speed limit is 35mph or less.  They have license plates, seatbelts, turn signals, beach parking stickers, even headlights so you can see all of the city.

“You can go anywhere,” said Benigni.

Benigni says they’ve had such a positive response in Naples and on Marco Island, they want to expand their fleet here and buzz into other areas too.

“Looking at some other locations throughout the state of Florida in the next couple of years, too,” said Benigni.

Beach Bugz can be rented out daily, weekly monthly and seasonally.  You can find the company’s website at beachbugz.com
