Vikings score a run in Tuesday night’s game against Barron Collier.

Bishop Verot Baseball has been to the Final Four of the State Tournament for the past four years in a row. They won a State Title in 2011.

The Vikings’ quest for another ring started tonight as they opened the season against Barron Collier.

In the bottom of the first inning, Bishop Verot had runners on first and second for Anthony Tejeda. Tejeda would chop a hit through the right side. Trevor Kramer would try to score from second, but he was thrown out at the plate.

That put two on with two outs for Mike Richey, and he hit a soft shot to left field for a two-run base-hit.

Two runs would be all they needed. Bishop Verot starts the season with a 2-0 win over Barron Collier.
