LCSO investigating shots fired near Tice Motel

Published: Updated:

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Lee County deputies are on the scene of a violent disturbance at the Tice Motel on Palm Beach Boulevard. The parking lot is blocked off with crime scene tape and law enforcement have been interviewing people on the scene.

We have confirmed that there was a violent disturbance in the hotel and shots were fired. No one was injured and deputies are still looking for the suspects.

Shell casings were marked off in the parking lot, including on the bumper of one of the LCSO cars. The sheriff’s office would not confirm if a deputy was involved in this shooting.

WINK News also confirmed someone showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound around the same time, but deputies would not say if that’s connected to the Tice Motel incident.

Fort Myers Police have confirmed that a man walked into Lee Memorial hospital tonight with a gun shot wound but the Lee County Sheriff’s Office tells us they can’t confirm if that is related to the shooting on Palm Beach Blvd.

We have a crew on the scene. Trust WINK News to bring you the latest on this breaking story.
