LEE COUNTY, Fla. – One person is dead after a crash on I-75 near Corkscrew Road. It happened at 5 a.m. Sunday. According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car with three people inside was headed northbound Sunday morning. At the same time, 39-year-old Christopher Collins was walking in the northbound lane. As the car approached, Collins failed to yield and was hit. Alcohol did not play a factor in the crash. FHP is still working to figure out why Collins was on the interstate. No one in the car suffered injuries. The Estero Fire Department and Florida Highway Patrol responded.
