COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – “Pay with lovin’.” Some McDonald’s customers in Southwest Florida got a free meal on Monday for paying with a lovin’ act instead of money.

If you were watching the big game Sunday night, you probably saw their commercial about it.

“Your total is WHOOP WHOOP you gotta a free meal.” said Chad, the cashier.

Those scenarios became a reality for some customers at the McDonald’s on Immokalee Road, near I-75.

One man was asked to spread a message of hope to someone nearby. So he decided to do so, to one of the cashiers.

“Keep working, keep that smile on your face and you’ll be able to move up in the company and maybe one day have your own store,” said Mark Hirsch.

“I feel so excited and I was so happy, and I hope so, it is true and I will have my own store” said Shilenice, who has worked at McDonald’s for the past year.

Judy Polito gave one of her favorite cashiers a high five for her morning coffee.

“Oh fun and you know what it made everyone in the hole place smile and laugh and it was uplifting,” said Poltio.

“They surprised me, the girl at the counter asked me to ask her to dance,” said Paul, so they danced in the middle of McDonald’s.

“It’s cute, it’s cute, it’s funny,” said Cristina Dawson, who stopped by the McDonald’s on her way home to Sarasota.
Dawson was ready to pay for her meal when they told her to blow a kiss to someone and she did.

All McDonald’s in Southwest Florida are participating in the “Pay with Lovin'” campaign. Each of those restaurants will be giving away 100 free meals from now until Valentine’s Day.
