Local teen accidentally shot in penis

Collier County, Fla. – A 15-year-old Collier County boy was accidentally shot by his friend, Friday night. WINK News got his frantic 911 call.

CALLER: “I’ve been shot. I’ve been shot. Can you please call the rescue?”

The teen, who WINK News is not identifying because he is underage was calling from a home in the 300 block of 11th Street Southwest in Golden Gate Estates.

DISPATCHER: “What kind of gun did you shoot yourself with?”

CALLER: “I don’t know. Just please come get me, please. I’m bleeding out, please.”

DISPATCHER: “Where were you shot at?”

CALLER; “The arm and I think my penis.”

Deputies say the teen would not cooperate, but eventually admitted to them that his friend accidentally shot him. He told his friend to leave so the friend would not get in trouble. The report does not say where the teenagers got the gun.

DISPATCHER: “Where is the gun at?”

CALLER: “I don’t know. But, can you please come get me, please.”

The victim was flown to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

The report shows the victim’s friends returned to the scene. After five hours of questioning, they finally told deputies what really happened. Deputies arrested one of the teenagers for obstruction of justice.

The injured teenager is now out of the hospital.
