FORT MYERS, Fla.- Detectives have made an arrest in a December 2014 homicide. Hector Tapia, 23, was arrested Tuesday in Collier County. Police say Tapia was identified as a suspect in the murder of 36-year-old Rene Garcia at the intersection of North and South Galaxy Drive. Garcia was found lying on the ground deceased on December 13. Tapia is now facing charges of second degree murder.
