AMMAN, Jordan (AP) – Jordan says it’s ready to trade a convicted terrorist for a Jordanian pilot captured in December by the Islamic State group.

Islamic State extremists are threatening to kill the pilot and a Japanese journalist if Jordan doesn’t free a woman sentenced to death for her involvement in a deadly 2005 terrorist attack in Jordan.

Jordan’s information minister says it’s ready to release the woman if the Jordanian pilot is released unharmed.

The minister made no mention of the Japanese journalist.
