CAPE CORAL, Fla.- A woman is accused of selling and making synthetic drugs out of her home, less than a mile from the Cape Coral Police Department.

After a month-long undercover investigation, police raided a duplex on Country Club Boulevard near Nicholas Parkway Thursday afternoon. Inside, they found more than 165 grams of synthetic marijuana. They also found chemicals used to make the drug, packaging materials and paraphernalia.

Police arrested Amber Williamson, 21, at the scene.

“I have a 4-year-old and… wow, it’s unbelievable that something like that would happen in this neighborhood,” said James Wyatt, who lives down the street from Williamson.

Wyatt told WINK News he thinks it’s crazy someone would be selling drugs from a home within walking distance of the police station.

“That’s daring, that’s very daring,” Wyatt said.

“It’s ridiculous, to be honest with you… they don’t know where they are,” said neighbor Ray Bastian.

Williamson faces six felony drug charges and one misdemeanor charge.
