Police search for massage parlor robbery suspect

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Officials are looking for a suspect in a massage parlor robbery.

Police say on January 5th, the man entered Relax Massage located at 1957 Grove Avenue asking about services. While talking to an employee, authorities say the suspect grabbed her and demanded money from the cash register. The man left the business on foot, heading in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30-40, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. The suspect had short black hair, a beard and was dressed in a black t-shirt with long dark pants.

The Fort Myers Police Department is also investigating a similar robbery that happened on January 13th at Oriental Massage located at 4120 Cleveland Avenue.

“Someone out there knows the identity of the suspect in the video. All we ask is for them to utilize one of the many avenues to get us his name so we can arrest this violent offender,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Victor Medico.

Anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the robbery suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
