Jeff Hanlon becomes new Estero Football coach

Estero High School was left with a head football coaching vacancy after Mark Jackson left to become Barron Collier’s football coach. On Tuesday, Estero named Jeff Hanlon as his replacement. The 42-year-old Hanlon was the defensive coordinator at Lehigh Senior High School last season.

In a press release, Estero High School Principal Clayton Simmons said, “We are excited to have Coach Hanlon come on board to lead our football program. His past and present history with the school gives him a true understanding of what it means to be an Estero Wildcat on and off the field.”

Estero went 2-8 last season.
