The Major League Baseball player teamed up with FGCU and Laces of Love to provide kids in need with new shoes. “Everyone thinks of clothes as necessities,” Sale told WINK Sports, “but they really don’t think about shoes a lot of the time.” “You give one dollar,” he continued, “if 50 people in here give one dollar, that’s a brand new pair of shoes for another kid; and that’s a live-changing experience for other people.” Sale and Laces of Love will be collecting shoes for boys and girls, sizes 1-8, at the FGCU men’s basketball game, January 29th.
