Group fight at Lee County park ends in a dozen arrests

LEE COUNTY, Fla.-  At least 12 people are under arrest after a wild scene broke out late Tuesday night at Buckingham Park.

Officials received a tip about a posting on Facebook in reference to a large fight or riot taking place at the park.

Authorities say they also received calls of several people involved in a fight at the park, armed with bats and knives.

When deputies arrived at the scene, several cars began to flee the park. Police were still able to arrest about a dozen people who confirmed they were at the park to participate in a fight.
