Lee County Sheriff to hold news conference regarding ‘large-scale investigation’18-year-old charged with vehicular homicide for deadly Naples crash
NAPLES, Fla.- St. Matthew’s House volunteers served up a special Christmas dinner for approximately 700 people in need. The gifts given out by the organization Thursday weren’t wrapped in a bow. Hundreds of surf and turf meals were served with steaks and shrimp cooked just right. Those who attended the dinner say it was a welcome reprieve from life’s hardships, surrounded by camaraderie. Many of the people who attended the dinner are also involved in the “Justin’s Place” rehabilitation program. They shared a table with strangers that are now friends, filling their stomachs with food and nourishing their spirits. They say at least for one day, they’re rich in things that money can’t buy. Like hope for a better tomorrow. The drug and alcohol rehab program is free of charge for one year to those who qualify. St. Matthew’s House is active year-round, serving more than 500 meals a day.
