IMMOKALEE, Fla.- Collier County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital. WINK News was on scene at the Crestview Apartments on Carson around 10 p.m. Christmas Eve. Collier County deputies say a man was sitting in his car when two suspects opened fire and hit him in the face. According to authorities, the victim drove into a fire hydrant. He was airlifted to the hospital as a trauma alert. The crash shut off water in the area, and Immokalee Water Services worked to fix the leak. Officials are still searching for the suspects in this shooting. If you have any information, call the sheriff’s office at 239-252-9300.
