Stores extend hours in the days leading up to Christmas

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Stores throughout Southwest Florida are extending their hours, trying to capitalize on last-minute shoppers in the days before Christmas.

WINK News checked out some of the big stores making shopping easier for you.

Toys R Us will stay open until 2 a.m. Tuesday morning, reopen at 6 a.m. and then stay open straight until 9 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Best Buy is open from 7 a.m. until midnight Monday and Tuesday, but will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

If you are heading to the mall, the Edison Mall will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and will close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve. The Port Charlotte Town Center mall will keep those same hours, but will open early at 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve.

The Coastland Center Mall in Naples will also be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, the mall will be open from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. for Christmas Eve.

If you want to shop at Miromar Outlets, the shopping center will have extended hours from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Coconut Point Mall in Estero is open from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Kohl’s is open for 24 hours Monday and Tuesday and will stay open straight through 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Some Macy’s stores around the country will also be open for 24 hours, but here in Southwest Florida, our local stores will be open from 7 a.m. to midnight Monday and Tuesday and 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kmart will be open the latest on Christmas Eve. The store won’t close until 10 p.m. It’s open from 6 a.m. to midnight Monday and Tuesday and opens again at 6 a.m. on Christmas Eve.
