FWC officials confirm body of missing kayaker found

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- FWC officials confirm the body of a missing kayaker was found floating near the Sanibel Causeway.

32-year-old Andrew Barber’s body was found floating about 400 yards from the Sanibel Causeway. It was brought to the ramp and then loaded into the medical examiner’s van.

Barber went missing a week ago. He and a friend were kayaking to Pinic Island when their kayak capsized.

Barber’s friend made it back to shore but he hasn’t been seen since.
