PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Detectives are looking for a man who allegedly walked out of the Murdock area Wal-Mart store without paying for a television in mid-November.

Police say on November 18 at about 4 p.m., the suspect went to the electronics section of the Wal-Mart Super Center, located at 19100 Murdock Circle, and disconnected a 55 inch Vizio flat screen television that was being used as a display model.  The man moved the TV from the shelf, removed the labels and put it in a shopping cart.  He exited the store without paying for the television.

When store personnel found that the set was missing from the display, they reviewed their video surveillance and were able to track the man’s movements within the store.

The man was wearing tan shorts and a black and silver shirt.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man or knowledge of this case is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101 (ask for District Detectives), or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
