Man rescued from underneath car in mall parking lot

NAPLES, Fla.- Only WINK News captured the frightening moments Tuesday for a man in a wheelchair trapped underneath a minivan in the parking garage at Coastland Center mall.

Firefighters say the man was climbing into the driver’s seat of his blue van when he mistakenly pushed the hand controls. His van started moving and he got wedged underneath.

Four people, including police officers and a man whose car was hit, physically lifted the minivan off the victim.

Firefighters say, amazingly the man only had minor injuries.
