SWAT responds to barricaded person in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Police and SWAT were in a Cape Coral neighborhood Sunday afternoon to respond to a person barricaded in a home.

Around noon, police were called to the area of 2600 NE 7th Ave. Police sent an alert to the neighborhood. There was no threat to people in the area; however, police did say traffic may be affected. About an hour later, police sent another alert stating they had a subject in custody.

No one was injured and no charges have been filed at this time.
