MGN Online LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman at a mobile home park last Wednesday morning. Detectives say the victim was walking back to her home at the Covered Wagon Mobile Home Park, located at 21450 S. Tamiami Trail, around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3. The victim says she noticed a man nearby, who began to follow her back to her trailer. During that time, the man called out to her several times, but she ignored his statements. As the victim approached her front door, she says the man pushed her inside the trailer and attempted to sexually assault her. Police say the victim fought back and the man then ran away in an unknown direction. Officials described the suspect as a dark skinned Hispanic male, between 5’4″ and 5’6″, 135-145 pounds, whose face appeared to be weather beaten. Anyone who may recognize this man, or who may have seen anyone suspicious in that area in the early morning hours of December 3, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
