Graham changes mind, decides to stay at North Fort Myers

Published: Updated:

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Earnest Graham gave his letter of resignation as North Fort Myers football coach last week on Friday but on Monday changed his mind. Graham rescinded his resignation and will coach the Red Knights next season.

The 34-year-old led North Fort Myers to a 5-5 season in his first year in charge. Graham was a record setting running back at Mariner High School before playing at the University of Florida and in the NFL for five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

WINK Sports’ media partners at the News-Press confirmed Graham was one of 66 applicants for the vacant Lehigh Senior High School head football coaching position but he has pulled his name from consideration for that job.
