New website helps you choose a career path

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.-  “Too much guess work goes into choosing a major, a college, and hopefully a career,” said Joe Schmoke.

Looking for a career change but don’t know what to do with your life? Joe Schmoke can help you.

“So what do you do when you’re 37 years old and you’ve got a family and you don’t have the right credentials to take care of your family?”

He said his new website can take the guess work out of your job search. It’s simple, answer questions in a special test on the website University Review and Research.

“Multiple choice and it ranges from everything, would you like to lead a platoon in battle to teach a kindergarten class,” said Schmoke.

Your answers to the 71 question survey are sent to Schmoke’s group of educational experts.

“It gives us an idea of what the person is all about. What they like, what they dislike, what they probably will be good at because it’s who they are.”

In return, you’ll get a list of recommendations. From career paths to college majors, even universities to attend.

“We take science, we take experience, we take the individual and then we make the recommendations.”

High school students can also use the site, to help them figure out what to study in college.

“For the most part people say, ‘gee I wouldn’t have considered this.'”

The quiz is free but it does take a couple of days to get your results.
