FORT MYERS, Fla.- Gina Birch stops by the WINK studio to preview some local events happening this weekend.

Festivities with the Captiva Holiday Village are officially underway. This two week event has everything from fireworks and caroling, to boat parades. This weekend’s lineup include a Sunset Aria on the beach in front of Tween Waters, that is tonight at 5 and the infamous Golf Cart Parade is Saturday with prizes for the best. There is also a luminary stroll.

The 26th Annual Fort Myers Beach Boat Parade is Saturday. This takes place in the Estero Bay, launching from Salty Sams and heading north to the tip of the island past Pink Shell Resort. You’ll see Santa and Mrs Clause and dozens of decorated, illuminated boats of all shapes and sizes

Festival of the trees at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center is still underway to benefit the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation. Stop in and see the spectacular trees, or even better, buy tickets to the Tux & Trees Gala Saturday and bid on your favorite to take home. The black-tie affair also includes a silent auction, music, food and more.

It will be snowing in Golden Gate tomorrow! Snowfest is an annual celebration at the Golden Gate Community Center, that features a man made snow hill, ice skating, carnival, pony rides, Santa’s Workshop, food and more. They make 100 tons of snow and bring in 1200 blocks of ice for this huge event
