LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Family members say a little girl accidentally shot herself in the foot Thursday afternoon at a home on Banning Street. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says the injury is minor and non-life threatening. Officials received a medical assistance call at the Holiday Inn on Forum Boulevard near I-75 and State Road 82. According to authorities, the child was transported to the hotel where an ambulance then took her to Lee Memorial Hospital. WINK News spoke with relatives of the little girl at the hospital who say she is expected to be okay. Officials are now investigating, Trust WINK News for any updates.
