Detectives investigating stabbing on Marco Island
MARCO ISLAND, Fla.- This photo, posted on Facebook on Thanksgiving, shows Lisa Troemner and her boyfriend Trevor Smith smiling, appearing to be happy. But now, less than a week later, Troemner is behind bars, accused of stabbing Smith to death inside their condo.
“Oh my gosh, that’s my address.”
This woman who lives in the complex where the crime unfolded overnight is stunned.
“I’ve lived here two years and everybody pretty much stays to themselves.”
New tonight, the WINK News Night Beat took a closer look at the couple’s Facebook page. It said they met in March and shows them enjoying everything Southwest Florida has to offer: fishing, gardening, and time relaxing in the sun.
“And they’re usually quiet.”
Investigators said the couple had been fighting for several hours overnight. That’s when Troemner grabbed a knife and attacked Smith. Detectives said Troemner then walked to a nearby 7-11 and told the clerk she killed someone.
New tonight, Marco Island neighbors tell WINK News, they’re very concerned especially considering the setting.
“Marco is usually very quiet we have very little crime here.”
