Arthrex hosts Governor’s Jobs Jamboree in North Naples

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott stopped in North Naples as part of his “Jobs Jamboree” tour. The governor is traveling across the state to feature job creators. Tuesday night he highlighted the company Arthrex.

Arthrex expected about 300 people for the barbeque event, which is in place of a traditional inauguration to kick off Governor Scott’s second term in office.

The sports medicine company currently has 110 jobs available in Southwest Florida.

Arthrex Vice President John Schmieding tells WINK News this is possible because of Governor Scott’s policies that have had a direct impact on the business.

“We have added approximately 1000 jobs since Governor Scott took office. Some of his policies have allowed us to use extra money that we saved from tax reductions to hire these people. I mean they have a direct impact on peoples lives, we’re very family oriented and we support Governor Scott’s policies to help families.”

Governor Scott heads to Tampa on Wednesday for his next stop of this job tour.
