CAPE CORAL, Fla.,- A Cape Coral family’s love for Halloween is being shown another year! Terror on 20th Street has been put on by the Field’s family for the last 15 years, but as WINK News explains, the family tradition is back to normal this year after a scary accident changed the families favorite day one year ago.

“This is our day, this is our Christmas,” said Jason Fields, the designer of the haunted house.

Another Halloween, means cackling witches, talking pumpkins and spooky spirits!

“It never gets old, we absolutely love Halloween and this is what we do,” said Fields.   Terror on 20th is pulling out the tricks and the treats to spook everyone who enter the Fields Family Funeral Home.

“We live for the reactions, we live for the screams and the frights!”

And on the scariest night of the year, only the brave are being asked to enter.

“We can’t give away too much, but there is scares around every corner, we move people around,” said Fields.

But, a year ago, the families favorite holiday wasn’t the same. The Fields family had a scare of their own. While riding his bike, Jasons son Connor, collided with a truck. Connor spent last Halloween recovering in a Tampa hospital.

“It was so hard to put this on last year, my heart wasn’t in it, I was wishing I was in Tampa at the hospital with him.”

“I can’t really remember, I kind of put that behind me and forgot about it,” said Connor Fields.

But, over the last year, Connor has recovered remarkably, and this Halloween, the family’s tradition is back to normal.

“It means so much more that he’s here and a part of it now, we are geared up and ready to go,” Fields told WINK News.

Terror on 20th begins at dusk and goes until 10 p.m. You are asked to bring a canned food item that will be donated to the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
